| April Fools R Us is
about, well, us. You know, you and me. We
are the ones who are sometimes gullible and
naïve enough to fall for the hoaxes,
pranks and jokes that April 1 brings. Of course
it is our belief that being sometimes gullible
and naïve is a much better frame of mind
than being a bunch of paranoid, suspicious
conspiracy theorists.
April Fools R Us
is about the people who fall for pranks
and practical jokes and why we fall for
them. With all of the advances of modern
science and technology which are making
realities out of the visions that science
fiction once dreamed of, like cloning, brain
implants to move computer cursors, and the
like it is no wonder that we fall for hoaxes
that seem plausible given these advancements
which were once implausible.
Let us not forget
also the media involvement in distorting
our beliefs and perceptions, making us even
more gullible. Take the tabloids like the
Star and Globe for example, that routinely
blur the lines between fact and fiction.
The tabloids run a mixture of truth and
fantasy on a weekly basis leaving us not
knowing what to believe. So we trust and
believe some of what we hear. And just when
we've thought we've learned something new
and wonderful, someone shouts, "April
Fools!"
So, yes, we are the
April fools. We are Gullible's Travels.
We are what this site is all about - the
April fools and the pranks that fool them.

pad is a jolly good site, indeed. I perused it
over one time and laughed so hard it almost made
me pee. Then a month later, I thought I would
look up a few April fools practical jokes to play
on dear young William (and even bought a few gag
gifts) and I came back to this pad and laughed
so hard I did pee my pants. Jolly good thing I
am wearing Depends now days.

wrote my great theory I wasn't really thinking
